Makkah Sharif ki ek tasveer jo Space se li gayi hai aur bahot viral ho rahi hai. Is blog me janenge is pic ke baare aur pic lene wale ka pas manazr, aisi tasaveer ko mumkin banane wali technology, kaabah ki ahamiyat, aur yeh zamin se 400 kilo meter ki balandi par kaise roshan hui?

NASA ke ek Astronaut Don Pettit, ne 2 December 2025 ko 4.53 am ko ek shandar falaki tasveer apne X (pehle Twitter) account par share ki, jo social media par tezi se viral ho gayi hai. Is tasveer mein Islam ka muqaddas maqam, Kaaba, markazi roshan nuqta ki tarah nazar aa raha hai jo Zameen se kareeb 400 kilometre bulandi par bhi dikhai de raha hai. Pettit ne caption mein likha: “Makkah, Saudia Arb ke Madari (orbit) nazaare. markaz(centre) me rotion Maqane Kaaba Hai, Islam ka muqaddas tareen maqam, khala(space) se bhi nazar aata hai.”

Apna chautha mission, jo September 2024 se April 2025 tak chala, ke dauran Pettit ne cupola window ke zariye high-resolution Nikon camera se Mecca ki tasveer li. Is mission ke baad wo hal hi mein ISS se waqti taur par wapas aaye aur turant apni Mecca ki tasveer share ki.
Mecca aur Kaaba ki Ahmiyat
Har Muslim roz ki paanchon namazon mein apna rukh Kaaba ki taraf karta hai, jise qibla kaha jata hai. Har musalman ki khwahish hoti hai ke zindagi mein kam az kam ek martaba Hajj ada kare, kyunke yeh sahib-e-istita’at Muslims par farz hai.
Hajj ya Umrah ke dauran, azaa’in(Hajj aur umrah karne wale) tawaf karte hain, yani Kaaba ka saat martaba ghoom kar chakkar lagate hain, dua aur ibadat ke saath is muqaddas maqam ka ehtram karte hain.
Kaaba duniya ke har musalman ke liye sabse azeem aur pakizah muqaddas cheez hai aur musalmano ke jaan se badh kar hai. Musalmano ki qabron (graves) ka rukh bhi isi Kaaba ki taraf hota hai.
Kaaba ek halke grey paththar se bahot pahle banaya gaya hai jiski buniya Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihissalam aur Hazrat Ismail Alaihissalam ne rakhi hai.
Khaane Kaaba Ko Har Saal me 2 baar Ghusl diya jaata hai. Ek baar Islamic Saal ki pahli tareekh 1st Muharram ko aur doosri baar Ramadan Sharif ke 30 din pahle Zam-Zam aur gulaab ke pani se Uodh ke sath dhoya aur saaf kiya jaata hai. Aur iske upar kar kapda Kiswa ko pahli Muharram ko har saal change Kiya jaata hai.
Kaaba Sharif ke ird-gird safed sang-e-marmar se bani bohot wasi Masjid-e-Haram hai, jo rush ke auqaat mein ek million se zyada namaaziyon ko aasani se samet sakti hai.
Hatta ke astronauts ne bhi space se li gayi tasveeron mein Kaaba aur masjid ka zikar kiya hai. NASA Earth Observatory ki July 2023 ISS photo ke caption mein likha hai ke “Kaaba… masjid ke beech ek choti si cube ki shakal mein nazar aati hai”, aur yeh bhi ke “raat ke waqt bhi masjid roshan rehti hai aur door door se aane walay mehmaanon ke liye ek chamakta hua manzar hoti hai.”
Space se Kaaba ki chamak kyun dikhti hai?
Yeh itna roshan kyun hota hai? Kuch wajahain hain jo Kaaba ko space se li gayi imagery mein bhi numaya banati hain:
Mosque ka Floodlighting: Masjid-e-Haram ko hazaaron taaqatwar roshniyon se 24 ghante roshan rakha jata hai. India Today ke mutabiq Kaaba “constant floodlighting ki wajah se bohot zyada ubharkar nazar aata hai, jo dhoop aur artificial lights ko reflect karke aas-paas ke pahadon mein ek beacon jaisa manzar paida karta hai.”
Haqqiqat mein, in bohot badi floodlights ki wajah se pura Haram complex apne gird ke andhayre se kai guna zyada chamakta hai.
City Light Pollution: Raat ke waqt Mecca shaher poora LEDs aur sodium-vapor streetlights ki roshni se chamak uthta hai. In lakhon lights ki roshni hawa mein scatter hoti hai, jisse ek halki si chamak paida hoti hai jo satellites aur ISS cameras ko aasani se nazar aa jati hai.
400 km ki bulandi se raste, imaaratein aur poora shehri network ek roshan patch ki tarah lagta hai, jiska sabse chamakta markaz Masjid-e-Haram hota hai. NASA ke mutabiq night lights “humari mojoodgi ka zabardast saboot” deti hain aur orbit se shehri ilaqe bohot aasani se pehchane ja sakte hain
Camera Sensitivity & Fast Shutter: Pettit ne high-ISO Nikon Z9 camera istimaal kiya, jo bohot kam roshni ko bhi bina blur ke record kar sakta hai. Camera ki ye behtar sensitivity iss baat ki ijazat deti hai ke fast shutter use kiya jaye (ISS ke tezi se chalne ke bawajood), aur phir bhi shehar ki roshni clear nazar aaye. Pettit ka khud kehna hai ke aaj ke ISS cameras night scenes ko “freeze” kar dete hain, jabke 2003 mein unhe lambe exposure ke liye khud ek tracker banana padta tha.
Contrast and Reflection: Kaaba par siyah Kiswah hoti hai, lekin us par jo sone ka naqsh-o-nigar hota hai woh metallic thread se bana hota hai. Floodlights iss golden embroidery aur chaaron taraf ke safed marble floor se reflect hote hain, jo Kaaba ki chamak ko aur zyada numayan bana dete hain. Iske ilawa, Masjid-e-Haram ka safed marble bhi roshni ko bohot taqat se wapas reflect karta hai.
Atmospheric Effects: Neeche ke badal (low clouds) ya halki dhund shehri roshni ko wapas zameen ki taraf reflect kar dete hain. Is wajah se shehar aur zyada roshan aur bada dikhai deta hai. Yehi light scattering Kaaba ki taqatwar roshni ko bhi orbit se ek chamakdar glow ki shakal mein numaya kar deti hai.
Kul mila kar, zameen par lagay hue bohot taqatwar floodlights (khaas taur par Masjid-e-Haram ke), poore shehar ki ghani roshni, aur modern high-sensitivity cameras, in sab ki wajah se astronauts space se Kaaba ko ek chamakti hui rahnuma roshni ki tarah dekh sakte hain.
Jaise ke ek online commenter ne khoob likha:
“Orbit se dekho to Kaaba ki roshni alag hi asar karti hai, jaise zameen ka apna ek hamesha chamakta noor, rooh ko sukoon dene wala nightlight.”
Other Space Photos of Mecca

Duniya bhar ke astronauts kabhi kabhar hajj aur Ramadan ke mauqon par Muqaddas Shehron ki tasveerain bhi lete rahte hain. Misal ke taur par, Emirates ke astronaut Sultan Al-Neyadi ne Ramadan 2023 ke dauran “Two Holy Mosques” yani Makkah aur Madinah ki space se videos share ki jin mein un shehron ki roshni orbit se chamakti hui dikh rahi thi.
Satellite imagery bhi Mecca ka ishara deti hai. Raat ki composite maps, jaise NOAA VIIRS “Black Marble”, Mecca ke maqam par ek bohot roshan spot dikhati hain. Lekin Pettit ki tasveer khaas is liye hai ke yeh astronaut ke crew camera se relatively qareeb fasle par li gayi, jisse high detail aur ek insani nazariya milta hai, jaise koi shehar ke bilkul upar khara ho kar dekh raha ho.
Apni chauthi ISS mission (Sept 2024–Apr 2025) ke dauran Pettit ne duniya ki hazaaron haseen tasveerain banain. Unmein se yeh nayi tasveer, jismein Kaaba bohot numaya hai. Social media par tezi se viral ho gayi. Logon tak yeh sirf ek scientific photo ke taur par nahi balki roohani pehchaan ke ek nishan ki tarah bhi pohochti hai.
